Trail cameras not only provide important information to foresters and hunters about their hunting grounds. The scouting cams also help landowners with property protection and protect against theft, vandalism or rubbish offenders. Be it the stray game or the sneaking burglar, all processes can be recorded even in high 4K resolution on the videos and photos of the Scouting Cam Black820 Dual Sensor from Braun Photo Technik.
The Braun Scouting Cam Black820 Dual Sensor has two CMOS image sensors: The 8 megapixel sensor (32MP interpolated) especially for high-quality daytime recordings and the 2MP sensor for excellent nighttime recordings. The two sensors not only ensure brilliant illumination in the dark, but also avoid the usual "clicking noise" when switching from day to night, which could frighten animals. The recordings can be saved on an SD memory card with up to 512GB. In addition, the wildlife camera also has a mini USB slot for connection to a PC and TV.
The exact resolution of the photos and videos, like numerous other parameters, can be set using the integrated, illuminated control panel and the 2.4 “TFT color display. The recordings can also be conveniently viewed on the color display. The video resolution can vary from 4K (10fps) to 2.7K (20fps) and 1080p (30fps) up to 720p (60fps) or 1080P / 720p / VGA (30fps with the night sensor). The image resolution can be changed between 32 to 5MP (8 to 2 MP with night sensor). The Braun Scouting Cam Black820 Dual Sensor has three different sensitivities of the PIR motion sensor with a detection angle of 90 degrees, a trigger distance of up to 20 meters and a trigger time of around 0.35 seconds.
In addition, the Black820 has an integrated microphone, a loudspeaker, password protection, a time-lapse mode, as well as an indication of date, time, moon phase and temperature. With the help of the continuous recording function, the camera can continue recording even if the memory card is full by overwriting the oldest files. The continuous recording function can also be deactivated. Thanks to a mounting strap or the practical bracket included in the scope of delivery, the robust and water-jet protected (IP66) wildlife camera can be easily attached to the desired location.
The operating temperatures range from -20°C to +60° C. The standby time is around eight months. Power is supplied by eight AA batteries or optionally by a 6V 2A power supply unit.
